Albertine’s Lounge: Beau-Rivage Genève’s new stylish terrace

Hôtel Beau-Rivage, Geneva, Switzerland.

The newly opened cocktail lounge is the perfect place to soak up the sun and enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Geneva.

Why Albertine’s?

Albertine’s Lounge is the new, trendy creation of Lars Wagner, General Manager of the Beau-Rivage Genève and Chef Dominique Gauthier. Named after Albertine Mayer, the wife of Jean-Jacques Mayer. They were the legendary founding couple of Beau-Rivage Genève in 1865. Paying hommage to Albertine – the great grandmother of the current owner of the Beau Rivage, Jacques Mayer. Indeed, this five star hotel is one of the oldest hotels in all of Geneva.

The Location

The Côte d’Azur comes to Geneva.
Modern and elegant, Albertine’s Lounge offers a spectacular view of the Lake Léman. Located in the center of Geneva, nestled between the five star hotels that line the lakeside, Albertine’s is a fantastic place enjoy an afterwork drink on a hot summers evening. What’s more a light breeze keeps you cool even on the hottest of days (we were especially grateful for it the day we went as it was a scorching 35•C!).

Like an exotic lagoon dotted with palm trees and white parasols one feels as if you have been transported to the French Riviera. Whilst the dusty pink sofas and fashionable wicker furniture combine to make it the perfect, sleek backdrop for all instagram and social media fiends. We had a couple of drinks and tapas in the lovely pink lounge.

What’s on the menu?

Created by the Chef Dominique Gauthier, the menu is comprised of a fantastic fusion of tapas. Combing Asian and Mediterranean flavors together, the menu is designed for an exclusive savory moment. My personal favorites where the Dim Sum ginger shrimp and “Fresh” salad. Their gourmet menu also offers excellent vegetarian alternatives.

In terms of drinks, I absolutely loved “The Albertine” which was a delicious combination of watermelon, cranberry juice, Stolichnaya and a touch of vanilla. Whilst Xenia savored “L’invitation” which was a gorgeous orange colored cocktail with Apérol, Campari, abricot and orange juice.

They also offer healthy smoothies, homemade ice teas and fresh juices.

It was a lovely late afternoon. I highly recommend this location for a late summer evening afterwork drink. I was wearing a satin green slip dress from Revolve and my new NA-KD fashion square toe sandals.
